CONSTRUCTION TIMETABLE OF A COLLIN CHARLES® CUFFLET®

DAY 1: Following months of creative design, sketch renderings, discussion, and final approved drawings, every COLLIN CHARLES CUFFLET® is cast directly from its very own individual wax imprint.  State-of-the-art CAD/CAM technology and bespoke production of each individual wax mold insures clarity of detail for every COLLIN CHARLES CUFFLET®.

DAY 2: CUFFLET® pieces, including the body, underside, shanks, and terminals are cast in high karat gold, sterling silver, or platinum. The molten metal replaces the wax in the mold. The individual wax mold can be used only once. This process is called lost wax casting.  Certain CUFFLET® designs allow for the underside of the CUFFLET® to be handsomely embellished with the elegant COLLIN CHARLES® trademarked CC logo, and in some CUFFLET® designs, the repetition of the CC Hallmark.  Attention to detail of the unseen creates a secret inner beauty known only to the wearer.

CUFFLET® endcaps are highly-detailed and are individually designed for each CUFFLET® in the collection. Every endcap is stamped with the words COLLIN and CHARLES.  In addition, the trademarked COLLIN CHARLES® CC Hallmark appears twice on opposite sides of every endcap. The endcaps are fabricated by stamping to insure clarity of detail which provides the precious metal an appearance that cannot be achieved by any other method.

DAYS 3 & 4: The CUFFLET® is constructed and laser-welded, polished, and finished over an extensive 2-day process.  Bracelet pieces are welded together using our state-of-the-art laser-welding process. Laser-welding insures permanence of construction, clean lines, and impeccable detail.  The result is vastly superior to the more commonly used soldering method.    Polishing and finishing the CUFFLET® consumes one entire day.  Polishing provides the metal a smooth finish and lustrous shine.  Each CUFFLET® is perfected using a polishing motor, supplemented by systematic hand finishing, and then thoroughly cleaned.

DAY 5: Each CUFFLET® is individually numbered, archival registered, and hallmarked by removing surface metal to create a crisp engraving on the underside and shanks of the CUFFLET®. The hallmark indicates the fineness of the metal (18K Gold, Sterling Silver, or Platinum comprising each bracelet). Each CUFFLET® is stamped with the trademarked COLLIN CHARLES® CC Hallmark and assigned a unique number. A Certificate of Origin accompanies every COLLIN CHARLES CUFFLET®.

PRESENTATION: Every COLLIN CHARLES CUFFLET® is placed in our exclusive handcrafted wood presentation box, custom created for COLLIN CHARLES® by the Melande Jewelry Box Shop in Metamora, Michigan, USA. A black leather COLLIN CHARLES® logo-embossed jewelry pouch is also provided to protect your CUFFLET® while traveling.
